About this Event
Economic inequality is at a record high in the United States, but public demand for redistribution is not rising with it. In this talk, Dr. Wichowsky will explain how this paradox and other mysteries about class and US politics can be solved through a focus on social comparison. Her co-authored book (with Meghan Condon), The Economic Other, won the 2021 Juliette and Alexander L. George Outstanding Political Psychology Book Award from the International Society of Political Psychology.
