Looking for a hands-on opportunity that builds your skills and helps the community? Stop by the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Internship information table on Thursday, November 6, from 12:15 – 1:15 pm in Brooks Hall and the Campus Center to learn how you can join Allegheny’s tax prep team!

All majors are welcome to participate. The VITA Internship (ECON 501) is a four-credit course that provides real-world experience in tax preparation, public service, and accounting. Interns start as IRS-certified Preparers and can return to serve as quality reviewers or site coordinators. It's an important step toward earning the Tax Fundamentals Microcredential, which includes coursework in accounting and two semesters of VITA experience.

No prior tax knowledge required. Training is provided, and transportation to the Meadville Public Library (where tax prep happens) is available! Stop by on November 6 or reach out to the following:
