Dr. Reardon specializes in American military history, especially the Civil War and Vietnam eras. She is the author of the award-winning Pickett’s Charge in History and Memory as well as A Field Guide to Gettysburg: Experiencing the Battlefield through Its History, Places, and People. After a very active academic career at Penn State University and Gettysburg College – with visiting professorships at the United States Military Academy and Army War College – she now serves on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Gettysburg Foundation.
