What happens when your dream career changes course? For Sean Kealey ’20, it meant channeling the grit he learned on the mound into building a new life off the field.

A two-year captain of the Allegheny baseball team and 2019 NCAC Pitcher of the Year, Sean went on to pitch in the St. Louis Cardinals organization for three seasons. But when an injury ended his professional baseball career, he leaned into his Allegheny economics degree, earned his PA Property & Casualty License, and launched a new career in sales with Henderson Brothers, a respected Pittsburgh-based insurance and employee benefits firm.

On Thursday, September 26 from 12 to 1:30 PM, Sean returns to campus for a Lunchtime Learning Event in Quigley Auditorium to share his story of resilience, career transition, and the real-world value of a liberal arts education.
